Imam and Pastor deliver workshops on 'early warning and early response' in Egypt [5]
Imam Ashafa delivering training in Alexandria [5]

Imam Mohammed Ashafa and Pastor James Wuye from Nigeria were invited to Egypt to deliver training workshops on 'Early Warning – Early Response', a technique they developed to combat and prevent communal conflict. They conducted two workshops in Cairo and Egypt's second city Alexandria. The workshops, which took place between 10 to 18 June 2011, were practical and taught participants to identify and recognise warning signs as well as providing them with the tools to respond effectively through the formation of community action groups. The workshops were attended by community and religious leaders in addition to representatives of civil society organizations.

The documentary film An African Answer was screened on Wednesday 18 May 2011 at the Crosthwaite Parish Room in Keswick, Cumbria. An African Answer, FLTfilms latest documentary, is shot in Kenya and depicts an African initiative to foster healing and reconciliation after more than one thousand people lost their lives following disputed elections in Kenya at the end of 2007.

Recently she visited Kenya for a study tour, with a copy of An African Answer in her rucksack, which she showed in an area in Kenya which had experienced considerable violence.
